General

Every Fender fan knows, if it's from America, it's a good instrument. This American Deluxe Stratocaster Plus just so happens to have been made in the USA. It has the familiar alder body, a maple neck and ditto fretboard with 22 medium jumbo size strings. The neck has a modern C profile and the fretboard features a compound radius of 9.5 to 14-inch, resulting in a neck that is delightfully comfortable to play, both for open chords and fast solos high on the neck. This Strat is equipped with three pickups - all of them Noiseless N3 - in an SSS configuration. They are characterful single coils that don't produce any hum.

Fender American Deluxe Strat Plus: Personality Cards

The back of this guitar has a dock for Personality Cards. These cards are fully plug and play and provide your guitar with a completely different tonal character without soldering, which is a beautiful and practical feature on stage or in the studio. This Strat comes with three Personality Cards (of which one is already fitted to the dock), so it is actually three different instruments in one. Naturally, it features a 5-position pickup switch, two tone controls and a volume knob. The instrument has a cool Mystic Ice Blue finish and comes with a hard shell case.

American Deluxe series guitars and bass guitars

The American Deluxe series comprises several editions of the famous Telecaster, Stratocaster, Precision Bass and Jazz Bass. Every single one of these carefully crafted guitars and bass guitars was made in the U.S., guaranteeing top Fender quality. For the Deluxe versions, Fender combined their tried and true traditional designs with modern features such as a compound-radius fretboard and Noiseless N3 pickups.

Wrote the following about Fender American Deluxe Strat Plus MN Mystic Ice Blue

The Deluxe Plus does not look or sound better than the Deluxe, in fact, I like the neck of the Deluxe better than this one.

Be prepared to handle the hum and poping noise related to grounding issues. If you can get over that, the guitar plays and sounds beautiful, althought the N3 pickups might put some off because it's not as sparkling as the vintage single coils.

Fender Introduces Upgraded Mandolins!

Fender recently announced a number of new mandolins: the Concert Tone Mando Pack , Concert Tone FM52E , Concert Tone FM53S , Concert Tone FM63S and the Concert Tone FM63SE . The 53 series features the well-known classic teardrop shape, while the 63 series consists of gorgeous Baroque style mandolins. Furthermore, the E at the end of certain type numbers stands for 'electric', which means that besides the fully acoustic models, there are also electrical models available.
