Fazley gear up the complete beginner with the classic looks and comfortable playability of an ash-bodied, ST-style electric guitar that comes fully backed up by high-grade GraphTech and Wilkinson hardware. The affordable Fazley ST118 delivers the legendary versatility via a set of three Wilkinson-made single-coil pickups finished with staggered poles for that full, authentically vintage, and immediately familiar spank and a warm foundation sound.

The Fazley ST118: A Fully Upgraded Tone Machine

Besides the pickups, Wilkinson have also provided the mounted BS-108 two-point tremolo bridge so you're assured of rock-solid tuning stability no matter now extreme your whammy-bar-steered dive bombs and vibrato effects, while a set of Wilkinson WJN-01 machine heads and a Graph Tech TUSQ nut provide stable backup. Even the internal electronics of this refined student model have been upgraded with three Alpha 250K pots, giving the volume and tone controls a fast and accurate response, and to finish, this guitar comes including a gig bag for safely toting your new best friend from the bedroom to the rehearsal space and onto the stage.

Wrote the following about Fazley Startist Basic ST118 3-Tone Sunburst with Gig Bag

Het uiterlijk is heel mooi, de nerf is goed te zien. Op de afwerking is ook niets op aan te merken. Geen krasjes of deuken, de fretjes zijn goed afgewerkt, geen scherpe randjes dus.
De toets ziet er ook goed uit.
Na het stemmen en wat spelen bleek dat de snaren (voor mij) veel te hoog waren afgesteld. Tijdens het verlagen heb ik ook de intonatie verbeterd. De stemknoppen boeken goed te zijn,
Het spelen was even wennen omdat de hals wat dikker is dan die van Stratocasters.
Het geluid is verrassend goed. Wat een nadeel(tje) kan zijn is dat ze vrij snel oversturen.
Er kan mee gescheurd worden dat dat nadeel(tje) hoeft geen enkel probleem te zijn.
Overigens heb ik over een Line 6 Spider V60 gespeeld dus ik heb geen idee hoe de gitaar met een buizenversterker klinkt.
Duurzaamheid? Geen idee. De gitaar zal best een aantal jaar meegaan denk ik.
M'n 'objectieve' conclusie: Een hele goede gitaar voor beginners. Ook voor gevorderden kan dit een goede gitaar zijn, zeker als back-up.
