Fitted with a super-stable, baked maple neck, this souped-up edition of the iconic EVH Wolfgang Standard puts professional Eddie-grade playability within affordable reach. The neck has also been treated with a coat of oil for a far superior, smooth and agile feel than that of a standard lacquered neck, and since this signature axe has been built for rhythm as well as lead guitarists, it bears a compound radius that graduates from 12 inches at the headstock to 16 inches at the body, supporting a tight chord grip lower down the frets and fast and fluid licks further up.
The Wolfgang Standard Baked Maple: Brown Sound Packed with Definition
Since this is every bit a Wolfgang, the lightweight basswood body has been equipped with a pair of Wolfgang humbuckers that grant direct access to the classic Brown Sound coined by Eddie Van Halen himself. As such, you can expect a fat mid-range framed by the vintage sonic character and sweet dynamic response of the fitted magnets. With the solid help of the three-way selector switch and volume and tone pots, you're free to seek out your custom sweet spots, while the mounted Floyd Rose Special tremolo bridge and locking nut back up your screaming, face-melting leads with smooth whammy-bar action and firm tuning.
