Fans of EVH guitars can really get their fill with this black Wolfgang Special tune-o-matic Gloss. As the guitar is built in Mexico, it's available for a very reasonable price. Thanks to its curvy shape, the Wolfgang T.O.M is pleasant to play, and it effortlessly delivers that authentic Eddie Van Halen sound. From groovy rhythms to ripping leads, this black beauty makes it all possible!
EVH Wolfgang Special T.O.M. Gloss Black: sound and body
The body of this EVH guitar is made of basswood, a type of wood that produces great warmth and a pleasant tone. To add some edgy trebles, the neck and fingerboard are made of maple, resulting in an overall balanced tone that sounds particularly good when directed through an overdriven amplifier. The Wolfgang Special T.O.M.'s pickups have been developed by EVH themselves to ensure as high a level of authenticity as possible.
Electronics and hardware
This EVH guitar boasts a number of remarkable details. To increase sustain, the zebra-coloured pickups have been mounted directly onto the body. The typical Floyd Rose tremolo has been replaced by a tune-o-matic bridge, which delivers a tight, direct sound. A tone knob allows for additional tonal adjustments, and you can choose your preferred pickup configuration by means of a three-way switch. Naturally, a quality volume knob is also part of the package.
