Built in Japan according to the exacting specifications of the master himself, Mr. Eddie Van Halen, the EVH MIJ Series Signature Wolfgang is an irresistible stunner of a six-string. Basically, this singular electric guitar guarantees an unmatched level of tonal versatility and smooth playability. The basswood body has been finished with a hefty maple top and outlined with five-ply binding while the bolt-on quarter-sawn maple neck has been shaped to match Eddie's own preferred grip. The length of the neck has also been reinforced with graphite, fully protecting it from the warping effects of extreme temperature and humidity shifts, and all of that comes coated in matte-urethane lacquer to complete a fast and buttery feel in the fret-hand. This incarnation of the Wolfgang has been finished to such exacting standards, the truss rod can be adjusted with quick ease via the Spoke Wheel just beneath the final, twenty-second fret.

Extreme Playability

The ebony fretboard hasn't just been finished with a set of twenty-two vintage steel frets marked by pearloid block inlays, but a compound radius that starts at a flat 12 inches at the headstock and ends at a flatter 16 inches at the body, supporting extreme comfort and playability, whether grabbing complex chords or spinning intricate licks. Two custom-wound pickups: an Alnico 2 Wolfgang bridge humbucker and an Alnico 3 Wolfgang neck humbucker serve up gigantic, mega-adaptable tone that spans everything from tight screaming gains to near-infinite sustain and warm and elastic cleans, and to really polish off the hardware, this model also features a top-mounted EVH Floyd Rose bridge with a double locking system, fully setting it up to perform those epic dive bombs.

High-End Electronics

Featuring high-end detailing from every possible angle, even the volume pot has been equipped with an EVH 500K Bourns treble-bleed circuit, so no matter how far the volume is closed, you don't lose any presence in the higher frequencies and cleans and pushed-cleans retain their full sparkle. The addition of an EVH Bourns high-friction tone pot is yet another bonus. Even when this pot is bumped or brushed by accident, it'll stick to the same setting, but as soon as you tweak it, it'll respond with smooth accuracy. Meanwhile a push-button kill switch on the lower horn has been supplied for stuttering, glitchy effects. This Japanese-built model bears all of the same high-end detailing as the USA original - even down to the Stealth paint-job - so you're basically getting the same level of quality at a slightly improved price.
