General

There are many guitars in the world, but the ESP LTD M-400 Maple is not like your average guitar. The first thing you'll notice is the 24-fret maple fingerboard. Combined with the Deep Red Metallic lacquer, this light-coloured wood type offers a nice contrast. Maple is quite a dense wood, which gives the LTD M-400 a touch of brightness in its sound, making it ideal for quick solos, as every note cuts through the mix with ease. The pointy, reverse headstock has the same deep red finish as the body, giving this shredder a very neat look.

M-400 Maple: surprisingly versatile

While the ESP LTD M-400 Maple will mostly draw the attention of guitarists who prefer heavier, quicker music, this model is remarkably versatile. This is, in large part, thanks to the passive Seymour Duncan pickups that react perfectly to your playing. By varying the dynamics in your playing, you can have the M-400 whisper gently, or scream at the top of its lungs. What's more, the Floyd Rose Double Locking tremolo allows you to add all kinds of vibrato effects while also enhancing the guitar's tuning stability.

The ESP brand

In 1975, Hisatake Shibuya opened his Electric Sound Products shop in Japan. His high-quality replacement parts soon earned him the reputation he deserved, and it wasn't long before the shop started to turn out its very own guitars under the name ESP. In the 1980s, the brand got a real boost when numerous metal bands, such as Metallica, started to use its guitars. These days, ESP offers a wide range of versatile instruments, from high-grade Custom Shop models to the affordable LTD series.
