General

Here's seven-string metal violence in a very stylish package: the ESP LTD FRX-407 SW (Snow White). The exceptional shape of its body comes straight from ESP's FRX series and shares its sharp thorns and impressive horns. What's more, the deep cutaways allow you to reach even the highest frets with the greatest of ease. Compared to ESP versions, the FRX-407 is tremendously cheaper, yet it still offers you a properly made, minutely crafted metal instrument with a tight active humbucker sound.

FRX-407 SW: mahogany, set-thru and EMG

It's obvious the LTD FRX-407 was first in line when the remarkable body shapes were distributed, but what about its sound? A proper guitar sound is of course very dependent on a high-quality construction - which is definitely the case for this instrument. It features a mahogany body for a full, warm tone that still has plenty of mids and trebles. Those who like to play metal music will surely be able to appreciate the lengthy sustain wrought by the set-thru neck. However, the most important contributors to the highly balanced sound and hum-free operation of the seven strings will have to be the two EMG humbuckers.
