Its popular, neat-sounding EMG 81 bridge pickup ensures that this guitar is right at home in a metal band while the EC401 is deliver rich rock tone and hard rock worthy tone as well as solid blues sounds thanks to the EMG 60 pickup at the neck - a versatile and naturally hum-free humbucker combo mounted onto one solid six-string. This is the left-handed edition.

The ESP LTD EC-401 OW LH: Construction

The body as well as the neck of the LTD EC401 OW have been made from mahogany, which is known for a warm, yet clear and open core tone. The Olympic White finish has been combined with a black ESP headstock, elegant binding and matching black hardware and, in terms of playability, the twenty-four extra-jumbo frets support a light feel and smooth bends. To finish, a set of high-quality Grover tuners and a Tune-O-Matic bridge guarantee accurate tuning and adjustable intonation.

In 1975, Hisatake Shibuya opened his Electric Sound Products shop in Japan, where his reputation for churning out supreme-quality replacement parts grew so rapidly, that it wasn't long before he started hand-building his own guitars under the name ESP. In the 1980s, the brand shot to fame when ESP models made their way into the hands of massive metal bands, including Metallica.
