General

In ESP/LTD's line of products, the Eclipse is a familiar sight. The elegant curvy body shapes of its LP-like body are still as appealing as ever. Another attractive feature of this guitar is the large cutaway, which offers plenty of playing room at the highest frets. The ESP LTD EC-401 Charcoal Satin is a remarkable guitar, thanks in part to its dark-grey coat with its stylish satin-gloss finish. Naturally, the fretboard features characteristic waving-flag inlays and a type number at the twelfth fret. Oh yeah, and don't forget about this instruments spectacular sound.

EC-401 Charcoal Satin: tight metal

The resonant mahogany body of the EC-401 is equipped with a set of pickups that aren't afraid of a proper portion of metal madness. What else could we expect from active pickups out of the famous EMG factory? There's an EMG 81 at the bridge for clear, balanced sounds and a warmer, fatter EMG 60 that will have rockers, hard rockers and blues fans smitten with pure delight. The guitar's slender neck helps you to reach tremendous speeds, while the two octaves of extra large frets allow for smooth string bends.
