General
The LTD EC-256FM LD is an attractive electric guitar with a versatile sound that makes an excellent purchase for novice guitarists who want a little bit more than just an entry-level guitar. FM in the type number stands for Flamed Maple, which is characterised by a stylish striped pattern as you can see on the top beneath the striking transparent yellow/orange lacquer. Fitted to the single-cut body are gold-coloured tone and volume knobs and a Tune-O-Matic bridge for accurate intonation.
The LTD EC-256FM LD: Jack of all trades
The LTD EC-256FM LD is an excellent guitar for virtually all types of music. Its two humbucker pickups can be switched to function as single-coils with the coil-tap tone knob. Their (hum-free) sound is full, warm, raw if necessary and is perfect for blues, jazz, rock, hard rock and metal, for instance. The brighter, sharper single-coil sound is ideal for country music, for example. The sound of the pickups is supported by the full, open resonance of the mahogany body and clear touch of the maple top.
