This deep-diving axe comes loaded with EMG pickups and tuned in BEADF#B as standard, which is certainly not say it can't be safely dropped into a lower A-tuning or somewhere in-between B and E. The TonePros locking TOM bridge and LTD locking tuners keep the tuning in check whether you're going higher or lower and also make re-stringing a much quicker and easier job.

The Deluxe MH-1000 Baritone: Balance, Comfort and Focussed Lows

The mahogany parts of the MH body and the 3-piece thin-U-profile neck help to shape a warm acoustic sound that's fleshed out with a light punch by the maple top. This, combined with the extended 27" scale length ensures a nice-and-articulated sound in those lower tunings. Plugged in, two active humbuckers take over. The EMG 81 at the bridge presents that classic, forceful double-coil sound full of bite, while the EMG 60TW-R in the neck position shapes a range of bright humbucker sounds or clean single-coil sounds depending on how the push/pull tone pot is set.
