The Black Metal Series M-7HT Baritone in Black Satin is ESP LTD's latest metal machine. Because of the 27-inch baritone scale length of this 7-string electric, the string tension is higher than normal to allow for more complex rhythm parts. The sound is taken care of by a single Seymour Duncan Blackened Winter humbucker with optional coil-split. This passive pickup delivers solid mids so you can effortlessly punch through the mix during stage performances or recording sessions. Added bonuses are the stable Hipshot bridge and glow-in-the-dark side dots!

Beest van een gitaar! Zoek je een riffmachine om die dikke 7 string riffs eruit te doen stromen? Zoek niet verder. De (matte) hals ligt zeer comfortabel in de hand en de toegankelijkheid van de hoogste frets is werkelijk fenomenaal.

De coil-split functie zorgt ervoor dat de gitaar ietsje veelzijdiger is, ondanks maar één pick-up te hebben. Persoonlijk vind ik het geweldig om cleans te doen met de coil-split omdat de riffs die je daarna uitspuwt in OD veel zwaarder en voller uitkomen. Daarbij zorgt de lange schaal van 27" ervoor dat je zelf in de zwaarste tunings nog strak klinkt.

De locking tuners zijn heel gebruiksvriendelijk en de hip-shot brug is zeer comfortabel voor je picking hand. Een leuke feature zijn de glow in the dark side fretmarkers, die lichten echt fel op in het donker. Als er één minpuntje zou zijn is het dat de stemknoppen iets te dicht bij elkaar staan wat een klein beetje ongemakkelijk is bij het stemmen.

Ik zou niet twijfelen, je krijgt heel veel waar voor je geld!
