General

The year 1961 marks a classic year for the SG model guitars, since it saw the birth of these iconic double-cuts as the successor to the Gibson Les Paul. This Epiphone SG Standard '61 offers you all the looks, feel, vibe and sound of its vintage forerunners but comes at a much friendlier price and the subtle, little wing-style pickguard might even say it all. Naturally, it comes with a tried-and-true SlimTaper neck which, along with the tone controls and dual ProBuckers, give you a classic range of amplified sound. For a vintage vibe, Epiphone have equipped this solid-body with CTS potmeters, vintage circuitry and a LockTone bridge that stays firmly in place, no matter how hard you rock out. This particular model even comes complete with a Maestro Vibrola for all of your subtle vibrato effects.

Deze gitaar is fantastisch. Hij speelt geweldig en voelt heel comfortabel aan. Als je niet beter weet, dan denk je dat je op een Gibson speelt, ik denk niet dat je dichter bij een echte Gibson kunt komen dan deze Epiphone.
