General

In 1960, Gibson's Les Paul seemed to be decreasing in popularity, so they came up with a new shape, the Solid Guitar, aka the SG. Even though it was meant to become the new Les Paul, it made a name for itself and has been in production ever since! Over 60 years later, the SG is still an immensely popular guitar. This G-400 PRO is an affordable SG made by Epiphone, who are owned by Gibson and offer the same quality and craftsmanship. It's the ideal guitar for the budding Angus Young (AC/DC) or Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath) in you!

G-400 PRO: rock machine

The basic ingredients of this guitar are simple yet effective. The body and neck are made of mahogany, which give this instrument a solid, robust sound that has just the right amount of definition and offers plenty of attack. The fretboard is made of rosewood which doesn't just look good on this iconic guitar, it also enhances the playing comfort and adds a touch of warmth to the total sound. The body has a compact design with rounded edges which makes the SG just as enjoyable to play as it is to look at!

Alnico Classic PRO

For an unforgettable amplified sound, the G-400 PRO is equipped with Alnico Classic PRO humbucking pickups. At the neck, this SG sounds warm and full, and at the bridge, you've got enough power to do some serious shredding. Both volume controls have a push/pull function so you can split them into a single-coil and play subtle cleans as well. In short, the Epiphone G-400 PRO Cherry is a legendary SG that sounds and looks incredible!

Wrote the following about Epiphone G-400 Pro Alpine White electric guitar

2 weken voor de kerst, had ik me voorgenomen mijn collectie gitaren aan te vullen en was de keuze gevallen op deze gitaar. Ik speel al ruim 40 jaar gitaar en kan zelf bijna een gitaarwinkel beginnen:-). Vroeger had ik een echte Gibson SG, maar die hebben ze helaas gestolen. Deze zou nu een vermogen waard zijn. Maar.....ik had dus wel weer zin in een beetje nostalgie. Een echte GIBSON vond ik te duur. OK deze Epiphone is natuurlijk niet te vergelijken met een GIBSON. Echter.....Het is ONGELOOFLIJK wat je krijgt voor dit geld. Hoe kunnen ze voor dit geld zo een Super goede gitaar maken. Werkelijk fantastisch. Het geluid en speelgevoel benaderd heel erg een Gibson. Superdeal, ben helemaal Happy. Mooie aanvulling.

Wat ik alleen heel erg vreemd vond, ik wist dat er ruim 6 weken levertijd op zat, kreeg daar ook netjes bericht over. Tot mijn verbazing word er 1 dag voor kerstmis mijn Gitaar afgeleverd. Ik blij maar ook verbaasd. Na het uitpakken zag ik het al en merkte het ook aan de snaren, Bax heeft me dus een Demo model geleverd (met kleine beschadiging) terwijl ik wel een GLOEDNIEUWE besteld heb(had). Ze dachten natuurlijk, dat merkt de klant toch niet? Ik heb hier geen Stennis over willen maken(reclameren) omdat ik erg blij ben met de Gitaar, maar ik vind het niet netjes van Mijnheer Bax, om zo om te gaan met een klant, die voor enkele duizenden de laatste jaren gekocht heeft.

De Epiphone G400 is echt een heel leuk guitar, kwaliteit is prima, heel mooi, heb het zelf natuurlijk af moeten stellen op mn eigen voorkeur maar voor de prijs is het een heel mooi guitar. De hals en de lakwerk is echt mooi en hij speelt prima out of the box !
