The Limited Edition Charvel Super-Stock DKA22 electric guitar does something truly special. This model takes a curved alder body, adds a caramelised maple neck, an ebony fretboard and loads on the sound of Seymour Duncan pups. The unbelievably comfortable Speed Neck has been reinforced with graphite before being finished with hand applied oil for the smoothest and fastest feel going, while the ebony fretboard features rounded edges to support fluid and near-effortless note-navigation. The compound radius, which graduates from 12 inches to 16 inches also ups the playability and, as a final touch of style, the Super-Stock comes topped with a licensed Stratocaster® headstock, completing the classic Strat vibes.

The Balanced Output of Alnico II Seymour Duncan Pickups

The electronics section of the Super-Stock starts with a Seymour Duncan Custom Custom Trembucker TB-11 humbucker mounted at the bridge. This Alnico II dual-coil has an immediately warm and round tone framed by emphasised mids and milder trebles and basses, while the Seymour Duncan '59 SH-1N humbucker at the neck is a stone-cold classic, spooning out some tasty P.A.F.-grade sound. Isolate or combine the pickups via the five-way switch, or split both dual-coils down the middle to double the range and gain lighter, more sparkling single-coil spank and growl. This e-guitar gives you all of that plus the solid tuning stability and smooth vibrato effects of a high-performance Gotoh Custom 510 bridge.
