Charvel have only one thing in mind for guitars like their Pro Mod San Dimas Style 1 HH FR (Candy Apple Red), and that is to offer highly reliable, straightforward thrasher axes to advanced amateur guitarists. Here we see a red, quality alder body (for a deep resonance) fitted with a duo of Seymour Duncan pickups. The JB TB4 produces a screamingly high output and the warm '59 SH1N ensures a more vintage sound.

Pro Mod San Dimas Style 1 HH FR: a metal and hard rock guitar

A proper metal/hard rock guitar couldn't do without a tremolo bridge. The Pro Mod San Dimas Style 1 HH FR is equipped with an immensely tone-stable Floyd Rose bridge, excellently suited for the most outrageous bends. What's more, this red rocker features a quartersawn neck that is unusually strong. The compound radius of the fretboard means that it goes from convex to flat, enabling smooth playing of both chords and solos.

Charvel have always been known for their high-quality guitars for hard rockers and metal heads. Thanks to the Pro Mod series, even loud shredding amateur guitarists are supplied with many of the beloved Charvel features at a very reasonable price. Think of a narrow neck, a compound radius fretboard, a Floyd Rose tremolo and Grover tuners, for example. Charvel's San Dimas models are equipped with Seymour Duncan pickups and the SoCal guitars have a pickguard and Dimarzio pickups.
