Back in the '30s, John D'Angelico designed and made the first ever roundwound electric guitar string and has stood firmly for high-grade guitar strings ever since. This extra light pack of Electrozinc Jazz 10's comes with gauges .010, .014, .023w, .030w (wound), .039 & .047. Each string has been made from steel and finished with D'Angelico's own EXP coating to pull transparent clarity and full, potent tone out of your instrument while ensuring a longer string lifespan.

Having acquired a D'Angelico Excel Style B Throwback I was intrigued with the recommended strings described as Electrozinc. These strings attempt to recreate the zinc coated Bethanised steel strings originally made for John D'Angelico in collaboration with John D'Addario in the late '30s. The 12-52 set suited the guitar and worked well with the Seymour Duncan Johnny Smith floating pickup. The feel and response I wanted to share with my Gretsch G2420 archtop and having tried other strings unsuccessfully found the 10-47 gauge just right. These are now my strings of choice and will also be fitting them to my Ibanez AS73 hollow body guitar. They are very smooth and responsive so I see no need to buy any other than D'Angelico Electrozinc in future.
