If you want an electric bass guitar that offers real value for money, you can't go wrong with the BB234 from Yamaha's renowned BB series. The BB234 builds upon the success of previous BB bass models and takes some inspiration from the hip Revstar series too. The pickguard is stylishly-shaped and the black headstock complements the neck and body beautifully, giving this bass guitar a highly-desirable look.
BB234: simple and effective
When it comes to design, Yamaha have gone for simplicity and efficiency with the BB234. The body is made of alder, a wood type that has been successfully used on bass guitars for decades for its lively, full, bright, well-balanced and versatile sound. The maple neck adds some sparkle to the tone while the rosewood fretboard provides a touch of warmth.
Ceramic pickups
The BB234 features ceramic pickups in a PJ configuration. There's a split single-coil in the neck position and a standard single-coil at the bridge, giving you plenty of tonal variety. Both of the pickups are Yamaha V3 Custom models with ceramic magnets that deliver a loud, bright sound that will cut easily through the mix in virtually any style of music.
