Vintage and the ethereal Joe Doe reveal the Lutetia: a PJ-configured, alder-bodied bass that comes with a tight burst-style finish and a custom floral pattern paint-job protected by a transparent pickguard. This one-of-a-kind bass tells the imaginary story of punk bassist and visionary artist, Lutetia Seydoux. Born to oppose fascism and challenge the establishment, Lutetia broke rules and pushed boundaries as she saw fit. This artful, versatile bass invites you to follow in her footsteps, setting you up with a C-profile maple neck topped with a maple fretboard so there's nothing to hold back your fret hand.

The Joe Doe Lutetia: Perfect for Punk (And Various Other Styles)

Since the WOPB split-coil pickup in the middle position is joined by a WOJB single-coil mounted at the bridge, this Vintage-made bass can take on much more than punk rock alone. These PJ-style Wilkinson pickups can be steered in various stylistic directions with the help of the blend, volume and double pone pots, while the gilded hardware - including vintage WJBL200 tuners and a WBBC toploader bridge - keep tabs on the tuning. Finished with a custom black leaf inlay, this rebellious yet ritzy bass comes wrapped up in a matching case complete with case candy and a certificate of authenticity.
