General

As well as prominent sound wrapped in unrivalled playing comfort, the build of this Ibanez Soundgear Series five-string features Premium Series wood and detailing. Meet the SR1355B. Constructed using hand-selected materials, this bass starts with a solid African mahogany body, follows this up with a panga panga, walnut and maple top and ends things with a five-piece purpleheart and panga panga Atlas-5 neck with a matching 12 inch radius panga panga fretboard. This stunning five-string electric bass comes pre-wrapped in a formfitting gig bag complete with an adjustment key.

The Ibanez SR1355B Soundgear Premium: Nordstrand Big Single Pups & Gotoh Hardware

An Ibanez Custom Electronics preamp has, of course, been teamed up with a pair of Nordstrand pickups to guarantee forceful bass sound. But since this model comes mounted with a set of Big Single pups, you're getting just the right amount of definition to slice through the band mix. Besides a volume and blend pot, the output can be tweaked in detail via a three-band EQ section complete with a three-way mid-frequency switch, or the whole lot can be bypassed and the trebles can be dialled in via the passive tone pot. Polished off by an MR5S bridge, a set of Gotoh sealed and self-lubricating machine heads and a Graph Tech Black Tusq XL nut, the intonation and tuning stability of this Soundgear Premium bass is in masterful hands.
