Ibanez treats legendary bass player, Steve Di Giorgio (Death, Testament) and his fans to a fretless, signature 5-string bass complete with Nordstrand pickups. Dipped in Dark Moss Burst, the Ibanez SDGB1 is based on the BTB Series Iron Label BTB625EX that Steve loves to play and has also been inspired by Gary Willis' fretless bass playing.

The Ibanez SDGB1: Expect the Unexpected

For enhanced stability and sustain, Ibanez and Steve have gone with a neck-through-body construction, where the slightly-longer-than-average, 35-inch neck has been made from nine pieces of tonewood and the body has been fashioned out of a mix of okoume and ash before it was topped with flamed maple. In terms of tone, you're getting a pair of Nordstrand Big Single pickups and an active preamp with Vari-Mid 3-band EQ controls and an EQ bypass switch so you can effortlessly pull a wide range of full-bodied sounds out of this signature bass, all while the fitted MR5 Mono-Rail V helps ensure optimum vibrational transference.
