General
Comfy playability and defined, versatile sound wrapped up in a sleek design for an affordable, beginner-friendly price? Ibanez set you up with the GSR200B four-string long-scale bass. The snug mahogany body has been given a thin and lightweight SR shape and fitted with a bolt-on GSR4 maple neck and jatoba fretboard with an easy playing feel. This lays down a sweet and warm yet clear and defined foundation. To enhance the sonic versatility this bass has to offer, Ibanez have loaded it with a classic PJ-style pickup configuration, where a passive Dynamix split-coil takes up the middle position to provide that familiar and solid P-style sound, and a J-style passive Dynamix single-coil has been planted at the bridge to inject some pointed punch. Dial in your custom sound via the volume and tone pots before deploying the PHAT II EQ pot to boost the bass frequencies for a thicker and even meatier sound. As a nice bonus, this solid beginner's bass comes bundled up with a strap, a jack lead, a tuner and a spare pack of strings.
