Fully focussed on serving up the most ergonomic and smooth-playing five-string bass in the known universe, Ibanez present the fretless Bass Workshop EHB1005F. To start, the basswood body has been chambered to push the weight all the way down and the head has been brutally removed to guarantee flawless balance across the entire build, whether you're standing or seated. The richlite fretboard even packs style and comes edged with a thoughtful set of twenty-four fret-lines and luminescent side dots, so you know exactly where you're at. Combine that with the ultra-flat 20 inch radius, and you're spoilt by the buttery-smooth playability. This unique Bass Workshop offering comes pre-wrapped in a form-fitting gig bag complete with a secure set of Schaller strap locks.

The Ibanez Bass Workshop EHB1005F: The Modern Instrument

Since stability is just as essential as playability, this model comes with the boosted tuning stability, resonance and sustain of a five-piece roasted maple and walnut neck, an MR5HS bridge and an Ibanez Custom Headpiece. Wrote the following about Ibanez EHB1005F Bass Workshop Arctic Ocean Matte 5-String Headless Electric Bass with Gig Bag

I had been looking at this Ibanez fretless for a while and having read various reviews decided it was a real contender to complement my present 5 string fretless. When Bax sent me a discount voucher to "reward" me for previous equipment purchases, AND had this bass "in stock", I decided to order. The ordering process and delivery was great. The package was however left outside at my home without any actual contact with us, not Bax's fault, but it would have made rejection of the package if damaged as recommended by Bax problematic. I had however taken up the additional "warranty extension" offered by Bax which was an attractive option when buying equipment of this type on line.
The guitar itself has lived up to my expectations so far, love the weight, size, especially headless benefit, tone and overall quality. Overall the package is great. Only "complaint" not enough information in the accompanying leaflet about set up although the "factory" set up was fine and previous experience and You-Tube a useful source of additional info. Looks like I will enjoy this new addition a lot.
