General
Exploding the options for guitarists and bassists alike, the Fender Vintera II Series 60s Bass VI doesn't just come tuned an octave lower than a standard guitar and fitted with two more strings than a bass guitar, but boasts all of the period-correct design details from way back when. Essentially an electric bass with an extra high B and E string stacked on top, this baritone guitar allows bassists to get more adventurous and gives guitarists more tonal depth to play with. A classic fixture in genres like country, new wave, late sixties rock and even some '90s indie, the core sound of this throwback gem is formed by a three-pack of Vintage-Style Bass VI Single-Coils and a set of Jaguar-style switches and control pots. Smooth playing comfort is provided by a maple neck with a Mid '60s C profile, a lighter-than-average string spacing, and a slab-rosewood fretboard with a classic and round 7.25 inch radius, while the Floating Tremolo tailpiece supports some smooth whammy bar action. Jack this deep-diving six string into a bass or guitar amplifier and push the proverbial envelope. The Fender Vintera II 60s Bass VI comes complete with a deluxe gig bag.
