Fitted with an extra-stable roasted Canadian maple neck, the Fazley Jellyfish 4 is a more-than-solid J-style bass and comes at a more-than-solid price. The bolt-on roasted maple neck is a unique perk considering the price tag, since the wood has been carefully heated to remove as much moisture as possible, increasing the density and therefore limiting the chance of warping over time. As such, this bass has been built to serve as a reliable backup model for experienced bassists as well as a comfy starter model for beginners, and on top of that, this four-string bears a classic J-style body made from basswood, keeping the weight nice and low and packing the core sound with a full mid-range.

The Fazley Sunset Series Jellyfish 4: Modern Playability & Classic J-Style Sound

The back of the neck has also been given a matte finish to promote a smooth and fast playing feel, which is only backed up by the snug C-profile and the light action of the twenty-one medium-jumbo frets. To furnish the Sunset Jellyfish bass with the necessary note definition and sustain, Fazley have fitted a high-grade Graph Tech TUSQ nut, supporting the amplified sound of the single-coil pickups mounted at the bridge and neck. This loadout delivers warm and round, classic J-style sound that can be tweaked to taste via the two volume pots and single tone pot.
