Wrapping ultra-modern, high-quality hardware up in timeless design, the Cort GB-Modern 4 bass impresses from every possible angle. Maximum playing comfort is assured by the lightweight build, where the maple core is perfectly balanced by two lightweight paulownia wings, and the liquid-like texture of the poplar burl top, white ash back and transparent pickguard bring the looks. As a generous bonus, this four-string beauty comes with a deluxe soft case.

The Cort GB-Modern 4: Nordstrand Pickups and a MarkBass Preamp

The sonic foundation is carved out by a pair of Nordstrand Big Single pickups. These soapbar-covered single-coils guarantee powerful sound, and via the fitted MarkBass MB Instrument Preamp and push-pull tone pot, can be flipped from passive to active mode as needed. On top of that, a control pot is provided for tweaking the bass, treble, and mids in detail, resulting in a boundlessly versatile range.

High-Grade Hardware

Another essential detail of the Cort GB-Modern 4 is the Babicz FCH (Full Contact Hardware) bridge. This lightweight bridge supports dynamic playability, flawless intonation, and supreme sustain, while the set of Hipshot Ultralite machine heads are 30% lighter than your average tuners and boast a 20:1 gear ratio to fully reinforce the tuning stability. This hardware combo doesn't just provide a reliable base, but completes the balance of the instrument as a whole. And, as the sweet cherry on top, this luxuriously comfortable and endlessly playable bass has been finished with Luminlay side dots and a caramel-coloured, roasted maple fretboard.
