General

Set up specifically for multi-scale bass guitars, every string in the DR Strings Dragon Skin+ Coated Bass pack has been tapered, so the thin-end makes contact with the bridge of your model, increasing resonance. Meanwhile, the nickel winding of each string has been wrapped around a round core using an exclusive Accurate Core process to boost tuning stability, before everything has been given an ultra-thin K3 coating which creates a hardened outer layer that effectively repels any dirt and grease while having zero effect on string vibration. The result is open and defined sound, big projection and powerful output. Basically these medium-gauged strings have been designed to do some hard work.

Ze zitten nu een paar dagen op mijn Fender Jazz Bass... de intonatie is perfect, ze klinken als een klok en de snaarspanning is mooi in balans. De sound is vol, luid en gefocust. Met prettig hoog en gecontroleerd laag.
De afgelopen jaren speelde ik op Elixirs en het grote verschil is het gevoel. De Elixirs zijn heel glad en voelen zacht aan. Deze hebben iets 'stroefs'. Vooral bij het aanslaan voel je dat. Aan de halskant heb je er niet zoveel last van, al is het niet zo 'smooth' als de Elixirs. Maar laten we even wachten wat er nu op de langere termijn gaat gebeuren.
Alles bij elkaar ben ik zeker tevreden. De kwaliteit is absoluut goed! Voor nu...
