Yamaha isn't about to let 2014 go by without celebrating. What happened in 2014? Well, nothing. The celebration is for the 40-year anniversary of the Yamaha SY-1, which was introduced in 1974! The compact analogue monophonic synthesizer has since evolved into Yamaha's Motif XF, which offers modern technology with a whole lot of dimension. To honour 40 years of synthesizer success, Yamaha is offering a 40th anniversary box filled with goodies for the XF.

So, what do you get in the anniversary box? For starters, you'll find 1,024 MB of flash memory, so you have even more room for your own samples. Along with that, you also get a coupon, which is valid when purchasing third-party software such as the Arturia CS80V, FXpansion Alan Parson Abbey Road Bosendorfer, and the John Melas Waveform editor. A USB stick with extra sounds is also included, which offers the Chick Corea Rhodes, the Yamaha Ultimate Piano Collection, the Yamaha Vintage Synthesizer collection, and more! A message card and anniversary sticker make the anniversary box complete.
