The Zildjian Company is the most famous cymbal manufacturer in the world, and with good reason. Their products are always of the highest quality and they have an incredibly wide range of different sounding cymbals, so that you can find the perfect Zildjian cymbal for every situation. The K family cymbals get their name from the man who developed their sound in 19th century Turkey: Kerope Zildjian.
Zildjian K 16-inch EFX cymbal
The K Zildjian cymbals have a dark sound, that is still well-suited for a wide variety of musical styles. And while this 16-inch crash has a comparable complex, dark sound, it's quite a different animal. It has a number of laser generated cut-outs, that give it a remarkable, trashy sound and - along with it's thin weight - works to decrease its sustain. Therefore, this cymbal is ideal when used for short, sharp accents.
In short, this 16-inch K Zildjian EFX cymbal is ideal to use for short accents and it has an excellent, explosive and dark sound.

Sabian is adding no fewer than 25 new cymbals to its range of products for the coming year. There are new additions to the AA, AAX, XSR, B8X and HHX series, as well as a number of interesting new Artisan Light and Artisan Elite cymbals. The Artisan Elite series will increase the sound possibilities for jazz-oriented drummers in particular.
