General

Some Meinl cymbals are quite unique in the way they're created and the way they sound. The Generation X series especially houses a few unusual models, ready to be played by experimental, innovating drummers. This GX-12/14XTS is an X-Treme Stack cymbal. The name gives it away, this concept of this particular cymbal stack is pretty out there. A 12-inch, hi-hat style top cymbal is combined with a 14-inch china with jingles.

Meinl Generation X GX-12/14XTS

The resulting sound of this stack is very distinctive. Its pointy, crisp and it has the clear shimmer of the jingles in the wash. Furthermore, it has a very bright attack, and the sustain can be adjusted by tightened the wing nut that holds down the cymbals. The GX-12/14XTS is made of a high-quality FX9 alloy that gives it its durability and its bright, rich sound. Whether you want to use it for special effects or to keep the rhythm, this X-Treme Stack is a very unique addition to your drum kit.
