General

Sometimes you find cymbals that are unlike anything else. Take for instance the Generation X series by German manufacturer Meinl, which was developed to accommodate drummers that are not afraid to take the road less travelled. The GX-10/12ES is part of that series. It's an Electro Stack that consists of a 10-inch top and 12-inch bottom cymbal that create a very distinct sound when they interact, thanks to the waved edges of the top cymbal

Meinl Generation X GX-10/12ES

If you play a fast style of music, this Electro Stack has a very responsive, sharp sound that has a short sustain and crisp attack. It offers a white noise effect that is reminiscent of the digital sounds of a drum machine when you play it rhythmically. You can even play this cymbal as you would a pair of hi-hats thanks to the lack of wash. The GX-10/12ES is a great choice for drummers that like to experiment and it offers great quality and durability.
