Besides a different look, there's another big difference between studio microphones and vocal microphones: robustness. While studio mics get to go through life in the relative safety of a studio, vocal microphones are usually subjected to life on stage and the road. Luckily, the Lewitt MTP 550 DM dynamic vocal microphone can take a beating and has been designed to survive, say, a 2-metre drop with ease. In terms of sound, the microphone is just as robustness and is specifically made for capturing live vocals and handling serious gain before feedback kicks in. Clip, pouch and pop filter included.
