The design of the Behringer BA 85A dynamic microphone has taken a lot of cues from a well-known, American-made, industry standard model by offering a super-cardioid pickup pattern able to register a wide frequency range and coming with an iconic blue ring around the head.
Features of the Behringer BA 85A
Due to the super-cardioid pickup pattern, this microphone is fully focused on registering vocals and ignoring any ambient noise that might be coming from the rest of the stage. The frequency response has been tailored specifically for vocals and speech and is able to handle incredibly close-range use while maintaining clear and transparent sound.

Een goeie dynamische mcirofoon hoeft niet duur te zijn. Ik heb deze getest voor een podcast. Ik hou wel van de Behringer XM8500, en vind deze BA 85A op mijn stem nét iets beter. Niet wereldschokkend, maar voor het doel nét iets directer.
Er is wél nog een verschil met andere microfoons, uiteraard. Dit is geen SM57 of SM58. Dit is geen AKG D5, sE V7 of Sennheiser e845. Deze microfoon klinkt een beetje anders, niet beter, niet slechter, gewoon meer of minder aangepast aan jouw stem. Net zoals jij nét iets anders klinkt op een AKG in vergelijking met jouw favoriete Shure microfoon.
Kwaliteit
Deze lijkt mij in eerste instantie zeker goed tot zeer goed te zijn. Of deze ook 20 jaar goeie dienst zal leveren kan ik nog niet inschatten, maar in vergelijking met het kleine broertje (SL 84C) is deze toch wel veel meer dan dubbel zo goed. Prijs/kwaliteit zeker OK, en deze microfoon presteert veel beter dan zijn prijs doet vermoeden.
