The Electro Voice N/D 767 A is a dynamic vocal microphone that performs optimally with live applications. Proximity effect

Proximity effect is the idea that the bass response changes with the distance of the sound source to the microphone. That is no different with the N/D 767 A, except that the VOB technology keeps the bass frequencies clear. This microphone has maximum bass response when you're close to the microphone, which ensures a robust sound. Should you speak or sing close to the microphone, then the reproduction of your vocals gets more bass and the output level peaks.
