General

The hyper-cardioid pickup pattern of this Beyerdynamic TG-V70ds dynamic vocal microphone effectively counters any sounds from the sides or back. It's also equipped with feedback-reduction to keep those all-too-familiar high-pitched screeches that have been known to emanate from speakers and monitors to an absolute minimum; a desirable feature in the studio as well as on stage. Furthermore, this Beyerdynamic line is characterised by the fact that its mics are designed to effectively reduce handling noise.

This microphone contains what is known as a marked proximity effect feature, which boosts the frequency range in the lower tones as you get closer to the mic; a characteristic that can reach 16 dB or more in the cardioid pickup pattern of dynamic microphones, depending on the size of the diaphragm and the distance from the source. Vocalists in particular will find the addition of low frequency a welcome addition, seeing as it gives their voice an especially powerful sound. Without the help of effects or enhancement from the mixing console, the Beyerdynamic TG-V70ds will provide a pure sound that is impressively round and powerful all on its own.

Omdat mijn stem niet heel erg prettig klinkt door de 'standaard' SM58 (en de SM58 Beta die we ook hebben liggen) was ik op zoek naar een andere microfoon. Op zoek naar een voller geluid kwam ik bij Beyerdynamic terecht. De TG-V70s is een erg prettige microfoon. Ligt prettig in de hand en het geluid is inderdaad een stuk voller dan andere microfoons in deze prijsklasse. Ook klinkt het allemaal net iets meer 'open' dan met eerder genoemde microfoons. De microfoon pakt weinig omgevingsgeluid op en ik heb met deze microfoon bijna geen last van feedback/rondzingen. Door te spelen met de afstand (proximity effect) kun je de warmte nog extra aanzetten. Jammer dat de verpakking serieus beschadigd was (ik had geloof ik voorlopig de laatste uit het magazijn), maar de microfoon lijkt hier niet door beschadigd te zijn.

Goede microfoon, heb hiervoor een tijdje de TG-X60 gehad.

Toen ik voor een ander dezelfde moest zoeken en deze niet meer leverbaar/bestelbaar was, zijn we gaan kijken naar een soortgelijk type.

Echter kwam deze exact in de buurt, na enkel ook deze getest te hebben (op een muzieksysteem speciaal voor kermissen) bleek dat deze nóg voller klonk.

Wat een geluid, kraakhelder en ook zelfs beter dan de Heil PR 35 (ook een tijdje gehad).

Wil je een écht betrouwbare microfoon?

Dan is deze echt wat voor jou!
