These days, computers are powerful, but when they need even more juice to handle the really big projects, then this UAD-2 Octo Ultimate 3 DSP card by Universal Audio will get the job done. It has eight Sharc DPSs and comes complete with over seventy high-end plugins to simulate legendary brands like Ampex, Lexicon, Roland and Studer, to name but a few. This PCI Express card is designed to be installed in your Mac Pro or PC.

Universal Audio UAD-2 Octo Ultimate 3: plugins

Universal Audio have pulled out all the stops to make their emulations sound as close to the real thing as possible. This means you don't need any external devices; this card will suffice. Thanks to its impressive processing power, this DSP card won't burden your computer's CPU. What's more, this 3^rd version works seamlessly with Pro Tools, Cubase and Live.
