If someone mentions Zildjian, most people will automatically think of cymbals. However, Zildjian has become a big name in drum sticks as well and the company makes sure that their sticks live up to the same high standards they set for their cymbals. Many famous artists proudly endorse these sticks and there are many different shapes and sizes, so there should be a perfect Zildjian stick for everyone!
One of the most notable of these famous artists is Dave Grohl. Best known as front man for his band Foo Fighters, Grohl first rose to fame as drummer for the legendary grunge band Nirvana. To further solidify his reputation as a world-class drummer, he has played with names such as Queens of the Stone Age, Tom Petty, Nine Inch Nails and Paul McCartney, to name just a few, and was a driving force in the creation of supergroup Them Crooked Vultures - in which he is joined by Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age and John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin.
These Artist Series drum sticks have been created to Dave Grohl's specifications. They have the larger dimensions they need to suit Grohl's style and they have special two-tone metallic artwork on them that reflect the tattoos that Grohl has on both his arms. These larger, thicker sticks feature an acorn-shaped, wooden tip and are made of American hickory, which gives them great durability. These sticks are perfect for use in heavier rock music.

klein minpuntje, de print vervaagd erg snel, maar dit doet natuurlijk niets af aan hoe ze spelen.
De stokken krijgen toch nog twee sterren omdat de looks echt geweldig zijn en omdat de stokken geweldig spelen, zolang als je ze hebt. Misschien is dit een goede stok voor mensen die wel veel power willen zonder dat ze hard slaan en voor mensen die graag dikke stokken hebben, maar voor hard-hitters is dit helaas een teleurstelling.
Jammer, ik had meer van Zildjian en Dave Grohl verwacht.
