The Vic Firth SD9 maple Driver is a true jazz model. The SD9 drum stick has an oval wooden tip and a refined balance. The limited amount of weight contributes to the additional speed and accurate performance. Since the comfortable Vic Firth SD9 Driver sticks are incredibly strong, you can drum as hard as you want to.
The American Custom Maple Series
Everyone can find their own ideal model with the Vic Firth American Custom Maple series. Whether you are studying drums at the academy of music, or whether you are a rock or jazz drummer - everyone will be able to find a suitable model. All the drum sticks from this series are made of maple and are therefore lightweight and have a solid construction. You should also pay attention to the excellent rebound characteristics of the Custom Maple series.

Ondanks het zachtere hout gaan de stokken toch lang mee; ik doe zo'n 1,5 à 2 maanden met een setje (soms langer). En dat bij 2 à 3 repetities per week, +/- 1 optreden per maand en de nodige uren thuis oefenen.
In de omschrijving staat dat dit een jazz model pur sang is. Geen idee, want ik speel geen jazz... Het zijn stokken, en als ze voor jou lekker spelen maakt het toch niet uit wat je ermee speelt? Ik gebruik ze voor rock, metal en pop en dat gaat allemaal dikke prima!
Het zou wel fijn zijn als deze stokken ook als brick tegen een aantrekkelijke prijs te verkrijgen zouden zijn :)
