Vic Firth is world-renowned for its high-quality drumsticks. These AJ5 models are the thinnest sticks Vic Firth makes, with just a .490-inch diameter. They were designed for jazz drummers who want plenty of rebound on both drums and cymbals, which these sticks have, due to their long taper. Subtly playing is also very possible thanks to the small teardrop tip, which allows for clear ghost notes and cymbal patterns. Finally, they're made of the popular and durable hickory wood, which gives this pair of thin, accurate jazz drum sticks excellent durability.

This was announced on the Vic Firth Company's web site on July 27th, 2015. Everett Firth was a pioneer in the world of drumsticks and mallets, and ever since the 1960s he's been setting the bar for the companies that followed.
