General
Yamaha's Rydeen series is designed especially for drummers who are just starting out. It's excellent value for money because it comes complete with a hardware pack and a set of Paiste cymbals. If you're a beginner, however, there are a few more things you need before you can start playing. Bax Music have added a drum throne, a set of drumsticks, a drum mat, stick holder stick and a set of SlapKlatz damper pads. In short, this kit has everything you need to get into your first groove!
Complete fundamentals
What makes this Rydeen kit so perfect for beginners is its configuration. It consists of a 20x16-inch bass drum, 10x7 and 12x8 toms, a 14x14-inch floor tom and a 14x5.5-inch snare drum. This is a standard setup that enables you to play any musical style. The included Paiste cymbal set consists of a 14-inch hi-hat, a 20-inch ride and a 16-inch crash, and it includes stands and a drum throne as well as a drum mat to place everything on to prevent the kit from sliding forward while you're playing and to protect the floor as well. The damper pads allow you to adjust the sound of your kit just how you like it by placing the gel pads close to the edges of the drums to make them sound less hollow. They're sticky enough to stay put but are also easily removed if you want to reposition them.
