General
Pearl's Export drum kits have been popular with beginners for many years. That's not surprising because they're good quality and come complete with stands and a cymbal set by Sabian. Another reason they remain popular is that the series is being constantly updated. If you're just starting out as a drummer though, you'll need a few other bits and pieces too which is why Bax Music have put together this starter set. It adds a drum stool, a drum mat, drumsticks, a stick holder, a stick bag and a set of damper pads.
Complete set up
The drum kit consists of a 20 x 16-inch bass drum, 10 x 7-inch and 12 x 8-inch toms, a 14 x 14-inch floor tom and a 14 x 5.5-inch snare drum. Sabian's SBR cymbal set is made up of a 14-inch hi-hat, a 20-inch ride and a 16-inch crash. Setting everything up on the drum mat provided not only protects your floor, but it stops things from moving around while you play too. The damper pads make it easy to adjust the sound of the drums.

I deliberated long and hard about whether to buy this drum stool as it was a cheap price and my previous two 'cheap' stools drove me mad and eventually broke. I have to say that I am delighted with my purchase. It seems really well made and once you have selected the required height, it doesn't move. The seat itself is thick and comfortable. It is very sturdy and you will not go wrong with this stool. Don't be put off by the relatively cheap price, it is a great stool.

This is my second set of drumstick holders and they are excellent for holder paintbrushes- just clip to the side of the easel or, if painting en plein air, to the tripod/ pochade. Very good price as well for such a sturdy little porduct.

Wrote the following about Stagg DSH Drum Stick Holder
For a little over four quid the stick holder is hard to beat. Holds four sticks and can be tilted a little to make them easy to reach. Clips to a cymbal stand easily and stays there. Like a big bulldog clip. The clip should be attached from the back of the stand with the leavers should face away from you. This allows the holders to be tilted forwards.

Wrote the following about Pearl PPBKCP5 drum mat
Bought for ease of use for smaller gigs where a big roll up drum mat wont fit, this product looked as if it would first the bill. Handy that it includes a carry bag, first impressions are that the carpet itself is a bit flimsy and may not be ideal for hard gigging. Only time will tell but it does seem a bit overpriced when you see it in the flesh when the Protection racket tugs are not much more to buy.

Het is een mooie drumkruk die makkelijk in hoogte te verstellen is, ik persoonlijk zit wat hoger bij het drummen dus deze is perfect daarvoor. De zitting is lekker zacht en goede kwaliteit. Een topaankoop dus, ik raad het echt iedereen aan.
