General
It might be exaggerating to call a drum throne technologically-advanced, but the Pearl D-930 is definitely one well-built seat. Its seat is made of memory foam, which conforms to the player's body for optimal comfort while drumming, especially during extended periods of time. The seat is round and covered in vinyl. Using the rugged UltraGrip wing nuts, you can adjust the throne in height between 47 and 66 cm. All in all, the Pearl D-930 is a smart investment that is sure to optimise your playing comfort!

Mijn vorige (merkloze?) kruk is na 35 jaar zwaar gebruik helemaal op. Treed veel op en heb iets nodig is dat stevig/sterk is en zo licht mogelijk.
Omdat het prijsverschil met de goedkopere modellen van Pearl slechts een paar tientjes is heb ik gekozen voor een hoge middenklasser de D-930. Hij is inderdaad licht. Hij heeft handige memory locks. Er zit bijna geen beweging in de kruk. Ook als je een moer lam draait dan blijft hij wel zitten op de memory lock dus ...je hoeft de schroeven ook niet extreem vast te draaien. Hij is makkelijk te demonteren en is dan super klein.
Hij zit prima en is goed af te stellen. Zit overal (verenigingen, muziekscholen, oefenruimtes, jamsessies, kerken, speed dubbel bass drummen heb er 1070 beat in 1 minuut opgehaalt, etc.) op een gewone kruk. Dus heb een gewone kruk gekozen. Drum al 50 jaar op zo'n model dus ... een overstap naar zo'n brommer/motor/paard zadel laat ik over aan anderen. Als iets goed is laat ik het zo.
Er zijn inderdaad luxere drum stoelen maar al die modellen zijn groter en ze wegen meer en ...dat ga je voelen voor en na het optreden/repetitie. Heb een Pearl topmodel met schroefdraad die wiebelt dus ...nu een gewoon buismodel zonder schroefdraad.
Moet hem nog on the road testen maar ....bij een snelle boogie woogie huiskamer repetitie met drumsolo's deed hij het gisteren prima.
