Product no: 9000-0029-5436 Bax Music Warranty: This product comes with a 3-year warranty.

General

Roland's TD-50 drum module is the flagship of the V-Drum series. It was designed with demanding, professional drummers in mind who only want the best of the best. The 'Prismatic Sound Modelling' technology in this module ensures that every detail of your playing is captured and translated accurately by using the best possible samples. Combined with the new-and-improved pads for ride cymbal and snare (not included), the TD-50 module delivers sounds that are so lively and expressive, you'd never dream they came from a fully-electronic drum kit!

Create your own sound

Whether you're in the rehearsal room, your attic at home, or on stage, the TD-50 is suitable for any situation and any musical genre. This advanced module allows you to edit sounds in detail, from basic settings like EQ, velocity, delay, flanger, resonance, volume, and so on, to the position of imaginary microphones and overheads, for instance. You can also combine samples for some truly unique effects. By means of the 2-band multi-compressor and the 4-band equalizer, you can easily determine the output volume and the balance. Finally, the brand-new Snapshot function lets you compare temporary settings so you don't have to store them.

WAV files and DAW support

Roland's TD-50 module is equipped with an SD card reader so you can easily access a wav sample you'd like to trigger, for example; in fact, you can trigger any sample on an SD card with any pad in your setup. You can also loop wav files or combine multiple wav files together. Adjust the volume of your samples using the volume control on the front of the module. If you unexpectedly discover an awesome groove during a practise session that you want to record, connect the module to your computer and use your favourite DAW, like Cubase or Logic. You can record up to ten tracks at once in 48 kHz, 96 kHz or 44.1 kHz, and mix them separately later on. You can also record drum parts in the module itself by literally pressing the record button. If you want to play with a click track, you can choose to have it on the recording or not. Exporting your session and editing it in your DAW afterwards is a breeze!

Live applications

Do you perform regularly? The TD-50 makes gigging easier than ever. You won't need a DI box any more thanks to a balanced XLR master output, which means you can connect the module directly to the PA. The TD-50 is the very first drum module on the market that offers this particular feature! What's more, it has eight direct outputs (TRS). You can even adjust the headphone and the output volume separately so you can tweak your own monitor sound.

Tutorials

As a musician, you can never learn enough. Roland knows this, which is why they've equipped the TD-50 drum module with a number of handy tools. The 'Quiet Count' option, for instance, activates a quiet metronome in the background and lets you know when your rhythm is steady. An SD card slot allows you to play along with your favourite music.
