General

Part of the Masters Series, this Pearl Masters Maple/Gum shell set has been developed for drummers who want the best studio kit they can get. The mix of maple and gum (eucalyptus wood) is a tried-and-true recipe for sonic success and results in fiercely projected mids that help to shape a clean sound, all while the kick adds an unprecedented level of depth.

The Pearl Masters Maple/Gum 3-Piece Shell Set

Aimed at rock and fusion, the 3-piece configuration includes a 22-inch bass drum, a 12-inch tom and a 16-inch floor tom. Each shell has 5.4mm-thick walls, is made of four outer plies of maple and two inner layers of gum wood, and comes finished with MasterCast hoops to optimise the resonance.

Pearl Masters Shell Set Hardware

The shell hardware wasn't picked at random either, so the tom features CL100 bridge lugs and the kick has been kitted out with CL250 lugs. Meanwhile, the outer bearing edges sit at a 60-degree angle to ensure there's optimum contact between the drumhead and the shell, and the set of LB200 holders for the floor tom legs are also specifically designed to affect the shell resonance as little as possible.
