General

Featuring poplar shells and an uber-complete configuration, this Mapex Venus Stage drum kit is a seriously interesting option for beginners. Best of all, this 5-piece kit even includes a Zildjian Planet Z cymbal pack. The 9-ply, 7.2mm poplar shells shape warm and punchy sound with relatively little resonance, which is ideal for novice drummers who aren't familiar with tuning up a kit. The included Zildjian Planet Z cymbal pack sets you up with a 14-inch hi-hat, a 16-inch crash and a 20-inch ride, while the included hardware pack gets you a drum throne, kick pedal, snare drum stand, boom cymbal stand, hi-hat and a double tom mount. In other words, all you need to add is your preferred set of sticks. The versatile sound of this Mapex kit supports a wide range of styles.
