General
The Stage Custom Birch has been known for years as a high-quality set for an attractive price. And now Yamaha has given it an update. The new Yamaha Stage Custom Birch Pure White drum set has gotten a unique sparkling white finish, and features 100% birch shells for a warm, dynamic, universal sound with excellent attack. Once again, Yamaha has delivered an excellent mid-class product for a sweet price.
Fusion configuration
Yamaha has equipped this Pure White model with a fusion configuration, which consists of a 20-inch bass drum, a 14-inch floor tom, two toms at 10 and 12 inches each and a 14 x 5.5-inch snare drum. The birch shells ensure that you get excellent projection on stage, and the included snare drum features a matching white finish.
Recent update
Yamaha has made this popular model even better with a few small, yet significant, changes. Firstly, the bass drum has gotten a makeover with the addition of stoppers for the feet, for extra stability and an easier set-up. Additionally, a new rubber layer on the clamps ensure that the shells won't be damaged. Furthermore, the lugs are attached with only a single screw for an optimal bass drum sound. All of these small updates really add up to make a big difference in the sound. This definitely is an ideal set for the serious beginner and the more experienced drummer.
Hardware set
This shell set comes with a set of four stands and a bass drum pedal, all from the lightweight HS-680 series by Yamaha. To be more specific, the set consists of two cymbal stands with tilters, a snare drum stand, a hi-hat stand and a pedal with a felt beater. All of the stands are fully adjustable so you can set everything up to perfectly fit your playing and posture. A complete drum set for an attractive price.
