This Tama VA48S is a seriously durable kit! By using top-quality materials, Tama have made a set that doesn't just look good, but it's exceedingly sturdy as well. This four-piece Tama Silverstar kit consists of 12 and 14-inch toms, a 14-inch snare drum and an 18-inch bass drum. It's a great kit that is especially well suited for jazz musicians.

Tama VA48S-SMA Satin Mahogany Tamo Ash: jazz set

The combination of the small bass drum, the hanging tom and the small floor tom make this a typical jazz drum set. The compact dimensions ensure that there are no dominant or annoying frequencies generated as you play. The modest 18-inch bass drum allows for more subtle playing and does not produce the heavy, dominant kick that most rock kits do.

Configuration

The shells of this four-piece VA48S-SMA drum kit are made of high-grade birch. The bass drum shell consists of seven plies and is 8 mm thick, while the tom shells are made of 6 plies, making them 6 mm thick. This production technique helps create the rich, warm sound that is so perfect for jazz music, and the visible wood grain gives this kit a great, robust appearance. A high-quality kit for a sharp price!

Rien à dire, du Tama. Finitions superbes son conforme aux attentes, et une "petite grosse caisse" qui sonne comme une grande. Pour les transports c'est juste le paradis. Avec quelques sacs/housses et un case à roulette on prends tout en une fois!

Juste dommage que le kit ne soit pas proposé sans caisse claire.
Je garde la mienne, et du coup la caisse du kit n'est même pas sortie du carton.
Faudra que je l'essaie un de ces jours.
