General

With this birch Tama Silverstar in Matte Tamo Ash you're sure to make some heads turn! This edition shows off the natural wood grain, giving the kit a natural look. This four-piece VA48S shell set consists of an 18-inch bass drum, a 12 -inch tom and a 14-inch snare drum. A compact set with an uncompromised and professional sound!

Tama VA48S-MTA Matte Tamo Ash: jazz kit

A typical jazz kit is recognised by its compact configuration. The VA48S-MTA fits in this category because of its relatively small bass drum, the hanging tom and the small floor tom. Because all their sizes are relatively close together, the kit's sound is quite even and no specific frequencies are emphasised. Furthermore, the 18-inch bass drum does not produce the heavy, dominating kick that most rock kits do.

Configuration

The shells of the snare, tom and floor tom are made of six plies of birch and are 6 mm thick. Furthermore, the bass drum of this VA48S-MTA has an 8mm-thick shell that consists of seven plies of birch. The visible wood grain and natural colour give this set a robust and natural look. A great-looking set that is a joy to play!

Fantastische shellset met een mooie matte houtkleur, in het echt mooier als op de foto!
Zeer degelijk en stevig drumstel, de kwaliteit die je van TAMA kunt verwachten.
qua sound, die moet je zelf maken met nieuwe vellen. Bassdrum heb ik een EVANS 360 voorvel op gezet, klinkt nu erg lekker, snare heeft ook een nieuw vel (REMO), de toms hebben nog fabrieksvellen maar die gaan er binnenkort ook af.

Zeer blij en tevreden met deze kit.
