This 5-piece shell set includes a 22 inch bass drum, 10 and 12 inch toms and 14 and 16 inch floor toms. The Tama Superstar Hyperdrive kits are suitable for a wide variety of styles, as well as studio use. Whether you're into jazz, fusion, pop or hard rock, this set can most certainly handle it. All shells have been finished with a snazzy, Midnight Gold Sparkle wrap and no hardware, snare drums or cymbals are included.

Tama Superstar HD Maple Midnight Gold Sparkle 5-piece shell set

This Tama shell set is made entirely of maple. The toms and floor toms boast a 6-ply, 5mm thick shell, while the bass drum comes with 8 layers of sturdy maple for a 7 mm thickness. The bass drum's diameter measures 22 inches, its depth another 18 inches. The toms measure 10 x 6.5 and 12 x 7 inch and the floor toms are 14 x 12 and 16 x 14 inches in size, offering slightly less depth than the standard industry sizes do. Precisely because of this lesser depth, the shells offer a more powerful punch, increased attack and quicker response, but it also allows you to suspend your toms a bit lower, keeping your kit nice and compact.

Black Nickel hardware

The hardware fitted on the shells is finished in Black Nickel for purely pleasing aesthetics combined with the MGD wrap. To keep resonance and sound projection as optimal as possible, the toms are equipped with the Star-Cast mounting system, known from the premium StarClassic kits, while die-cast rims ensure stable tuning and excellent attack.
