General

For over 40 years, Tama has been linking their Superstar Series drum kits and shell sets with solid build quality and exceptional sound. This Classic shell set serves as a prime example and is equipped with T-shaped badges and small lugs as an appreciative nod to past models. The modern maple shells are thinner than before but have retained their strength to deliver a full, massive sound. This CL48S configuration consists of an 18 x 14" bass drum as the foundation plus a 12 x 8" tom, 14 x 14" floor tom and a 14 x 5" snare. All shells don a Light Emerald Blue Green lacquer finish and are fitted with chrome-plated shell hardware.

Power Craft II Drum Heads

Each Superstar Classic kit comes with Tama's own Power Craft II drum heads. These aid in shaping a great and well-defined sound, and the bass drum heads with built-in damping ring are especially noteworthy here. Other practical features that give way to optimal playability and sound include the tomholder with ball joint, small Low-Mass lugs and the Star-Mount suspension system. All in all, you're literally getting a lot of bang for your buck with this shatter-proof shell set.
